Fred L. DuBose
Fred L. DuBose passed from this life on May 6, 2018, at the Hilltop Village Care Facility in Kerrville, Texas.
Fred was born in Fort Davis, Texas, to the late Roy and Ellie Ree DuBose. He was raised primarily in the Fort Davis and Uvalde areas.
Fred, while attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, was called to serve as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On his return he married Joyce Maxine Coleman and graduated from Texas A & I University of Kingsville with a degree in animal husbandry.
He is currently survived by his wife, Betty DuBose, of Odessa; two sons and a daughter: Mark DuBose and wife, Loree, of Lompoc, California, Worth DuBose and wife, Paige, of Johnson City, Texas, and Mitzi Horrocks and husband, Stan, of Kerrville, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Nickie RaeLene LeJeune, Michele DeeAnn DuBose, Shania Lynn DuBose and Lauren Michelle DuBose; and two great-grandchildren, Shaylee Rae DuBose and Luke Austin LeJeune.
Fred is survived by his four loving sisters: Julie and husband, Leroy Sellers, of Floresville, Beth and husband, Bruce Crosby, and Ann and husband, David Moore, of Pearsall, as well as Sarah DuBose of Kerrville.
Fred, along with his family, has chosen to donate his body to Science Care®. Due to this process it is unknown when his burial will take place. However there will be a Celebration of Life for Fred on May 19 at 3 p.m. on the Brigman Ranch in Uvalde. All are welcome.
