Eleazar “Elia” Silva, 70, of Uvalde died on April 23, 2019, in San Antonio.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1948, in Mexico to Engracia (Vasquez) and Clemente Vargas.
Silva was preceded in death by her parents, and grandchild, Julius Michael De La Cerda.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rogelio Silva; son, David Silva; two daughters, Miriam Silva and companion, Hector Escamilla, all of Uvalde, and Anna Maria De La Cerda and husband, John, of Killeen; four brothers; three sisters; and six grandchildren, Christopher A. Morales, David K. Silva, Luke Anthony Silva, Lexi Silva, Karina Silva and Alex De La Cerda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m., at the Chapel of Serenity at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home.
A mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home of Uvalde.
