Dolores L. Davis
Dolores “Dee” Lee Wallace Davis, 83, of Menard, formerly of Camp Wood, died on Aug. 19, 2018, in Menard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Community Outreach Jesus Hall Of Fame, 207 Hall Of Fame Road, in Junction.
She was born on April 26, 1935, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Ruby (Foote) and Hosea Lee Wallace.
She had five children during her first marriage to Donald Eugene Geller, then married Gerald Frank Davis in 1969, and the couple had four children. According to the family, she and Davis were inseparable, and everyone took note of the couple on the dance floor.
She was a woman of great faith, who planted seeds of faith in her children from a very young age.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, family reunions and bowling. The family says she was a great hostess who always wore a beautiful smile on her face.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Geller of Menard, Louann Turner and husband, Steve, of Houston and Pam McIlvain and husband, Bill, of Papalote; six sons, Doy Geller and wife, Beverly, of The Colony, Donald Davis of York Town, Daryl Geller and wife, Sue Beth, of Junction, Gerald Davis and wife, Eva, of Victoria, Billy Geller and wife, Mary Joy, of Kerrville and Russell Davis and wife, Susie, of San Antonio; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by husband, Gerald Davis; three sisters, Joyce Norris, Jean Cleere and Kaye Sells; and two brothers, Charles Wallace and Ray Wallace.
