Daniel A. Alaniz
Daniel Alvarado Alaniz, 72, of Uvalde died on Sept. 20, 2017, at his residence.
He was born on July 23, 1945, in Cameron County to Guadalupe (Alvarado) and Juan Alaniz.
Alaniz is survived by five daughters, Jennifer Licea and companion, Frank Cordova, of Uvalde, Maria Velasquez of San Antonio, Audra M. Alaniz and Denise A. Alaniz, both of Hallettsville, and Danette A. Alaniz of Victoria; five sons, Jeremy Alaniz of Uvalde, Jacob Alaniz and wife, Amy, of Knippa, Daniel Aaron Alaniz of Brownsville, Daniel Adam Alaniz of Moulton, and David Chavez of Arlington; four stepchildren, Martha Rangel of San Antonio, Maria E. Perez, Eddie Cruz and companion, Laura D’Spain, and Joe Losoya and wife, Christine, all of Uvalde; eight sisters, Katy Satterfield and husband, Rich, of Michigan, Juanita Guerrero and husband, Frank, Maria A. Mirelez and husband, Richard, Sally A. Wood and husband, Henry, Yolanda A. Alaniz, Terri A. Moravits and husband, Billy Joe, and Cynthia A. Enriquez, all of Spring Branch, and Joyce A. Alaniz of Cummings, Georgia; one brother, Martin Jorge Alaniz of San Antonio; 33 grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Henry A. Alaniz.
An interment of ashes is planned for a later date.
