Carlos E. Meyer
Carlos Edward “Sandy” Meyer, 69, of Uvalde died on Nov. 29, 2019, in Seguin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Getty Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Concan Cemetery.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1950, in San Antonio to Callie (Lewis) and Carlos Meyer.
He served for six years in the U.S. Navy, and he was a Vietnam veteran.
He married Betty Sue Patterson on Aug. 1, 1975, in Kingsville.
He was a family man first and foremost. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman.
A lifelong Uvalde rancher, he was also a man of many talents from being an electrician to installing water wells, designing and installing solar pumps & solar arrays. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, of Uvalde; two sons, Christopher Edward Meyer of San Antonio and Cameron Eric Meyer of Houston; one daughter, Caren Meyer Wonders and husband, Jacob, of Pearland; and two grandsons, Jonah Cael Wonders and Caelon James Wonders.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Wonders, Christopher Meyer, Cameron Meyer, Jimmy Dalrymple, William Dalrymple, Bryson Dalrymple, Manza Hale, Joshua Greenwalt, Donald Alejandro, and Charles Blackwell.
