Boyd L. Anderson
In loving memory: During the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, Boyd Lee Anderson was pronounced deceased at his home in New Braunfels, Texas.
Boyd Lee Anderson was born Aug. 9, 1947, to Arthur Boyd Anderson and Edith Ann Carey.
Boyd was born and raised in Uvalde, Texas, where he spent his years filling his schedule with numerous sports like football, basketball, and baseball. After his high school graduation he pursued his further education enrolling in college.
On Oct. 7, 1968, Boyd Lee enlisted to serve this great country with the U.S. Navy, he proudly served 4 years, 2 months, and 21 days, after which he returned to Uvalde to begin his journey with the U.S. Postal Service as a contact driver.
The years passed and Boyd Lee married the love of his life, Ginger Chisum Anderson on Nov. 5, 1976.
As the years flew by Boyd Lee lost many aunts, uncles, and a very precious Doberman, but in turn he was able to grow a family of his own.
Boyd Lee is survived by his wife of 41 years Ginger of New Braunfels, Texas, Michelle Aschen of Victoria, Texas, and Millicent Anderson of New Braunfels, Texas, his sister Sally Finch of Odessa, Texas, niece Kim Harrison of Odessa, Texas, 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three dobermans, and two dachshunds.
Boyd Lee’s lifelong friend and godfather to his girls, Judge William R. Mitchell of Uvalde County, Texas, will lead services for Boyd Lee on Aug. 13, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. A celebration of life will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and prayer service will begin at 7 p.m.
