Antonio C. Silva

Antonio Campos Silva, 77, Uvalde, died Oct. 31, 2019, in San Antonio.

Silva was born on June 6, 1942, in Sabinal, to Maria Campos-Silva and Gregorio Silva.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Jesus Campos Silva, Jose Campos Silva, Manuel Campos Silva, Francisco Campos Silva and Augustin Campos Silva; and sister, Celica Silva.

Silva is survivd by his wife of 31 years, Esmeralda Silva; seven sons, Sylvester Silva, Steven and wife, Rosalinda, Anthony and wife, Gabriella, Robert and wife, Janie, Chris Arellano, Orlando and wife, Carolina, and Israel Silva, all of Uvalde; two daughters, Valora Galloway and husband, George, of Barstow, California, and Babette Silva, of Uvalde; sister, Beatrice Silva; 14-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Orlando Silva, Israel Silva, Sylvester Silva, Steven Silva, Arrlo Silva and Rene Aguilar.

Visitation periods were held on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 1-9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, 424 Geraldine St.

A rosary was recited on both days at 7 p.m.

A mass of Christian burial was held Monday at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 408 Fort Clark Road, with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, 527 Lovers Lane.
