Alejandro Resma, 85, of Uvalde died on Nov. 5, 2017, in Lamesa.
A rosary was recited yesterday and will be recited again today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1932, in Brackettville to Juanita Moreno and Anselmo Resma .
He married Eustolia Martinez on March 19, 1951, in Uvalde.
Resma is survived by two daughters, Alejandra Reyna and husband, Daniel, of Stephensville and Belinda Perez and partner, Rorie Padilla, of Lamesa; four sons, Mario Resma and wife, Margie, and Alejandro Rogelio Resma Sr. and wife, Concha, all of Uvalde, Ernesto Resma and wife, Nancy, of Decatur and Anselmo Resma and wife, Lilly, of Bakersfield, California; two brothers, Carlos San Miguel and wife, Anna, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Frank Talamantez of Wichita Falls, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Frank Toby Resma; one brother, Asencion ‘’Chon’’ Silva; and one sister, Irene Resma.
Pallbearers will be Mario Alberto Resma, Alejandro Rogelio Resma Sr., Alejandro Rogelio Resma Jr., Daniel Reyna, Toby Juan Resma, Ernesto Resma and Chris Cantu.
