Adan A. Aviles
Adan Arnold Aviles, 55, known as “the tamale guy” of Uvalde died on Oct. 7, 2017, at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in San Antonio.
A prayer service was held yesterday and will be held again today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1961, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to Edith (Faught) and Patricio V. Aviles.
He married Delia Rivera on Aug. 22, 1979, in Uvalde.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years; two sons, Adrian Adam Aviles and wife, Regina, and Andrew Justin Aviles and wife, Christina, all of Uvalde; two sisters, Hilda Hinojosa and husband, Jose, of San Antonio, and Gilda Sebeck and husband, Steve, of Chicago, Illinois; five brothers, Avery Aviles and wife, Missy, of Port Huron, Michigan, Randy Aviles and Danny Aviles, both of Racine, Wisconsin, Omar Aviles and wife, Susan, of Arroyo Grande, California, and Ernest Aviles and wife, Molly of Dallas; six grandchildren, Ashlynn Aviles, Alexander Aviles, Azriel Aviles, Alyson Aviles, Amaris Aviles and Axel Aviles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Patricio Aviles Jr., Jeff Aviles, Art Aviles and Mike Aviles; and one sister, Edith Aviles.
