Utopia High senior riding in national rodeo today

Utopia High School senior Will Pollock is in Las Vegas today participating in the Bucking Horse Futurity at the National Finals Rodeo.

Pollock won the Texas State High School Rodeo champion saddle bronc rider title in June and placed third at the National Final High School Rodeo in Wyoming in July.

He was invited to participate in this futurity along with many of the professional bronc riders currently in Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo.

At age 17, Pollock is the youngest rider ever invited to this annual event where young bucking horses get a chance to show their talent. His parents, Tori and Johnny Pollock, are also in Las Vegas for all the excitement.

Several bucking horses belonging to local resident Mike Outhier have also been invited to participate in the futurity.
