UMH receives $75K grant for cardiac lab

Uvalde Memorial Hospital’s cardiopulmonary department received a $75,000 Rural Health Facility Capital Improvement Program grant to purchase a GE Healthcare Cardiac Assessment System for Exercise Testing V6.7 and MUSE V9 ATO Model.

The new cardiac assessment system for exercise testing and cardiology information assists in predicting patients at risk of sudden cardiac death and cardiac health. The total project cost was $106,646, and UMH provided $31,646.
