Students have traditional eight-period day
Ninety-seven freshmen students are enrolled in the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District’s first-year Early College High School program.
The program is an opportunity for students to pursue a free Associate of Arts degree or certification in a number of technical fields during their four years of high school.
In recent years, many of Knippa ISD’s students have graduated with a two-year degree from Southwest Texas Junior College days before their high school graduation.
Participating students take part in a traditional high school eight-period day. Students are taking the general curriculum prescribed of regular high school students in addition to the college preparatory course, college transition.
