Resurrection Sunday promises renewed life

Tony Gruben

Baptist temple church

It is Resurrection Sunday morning and all is dark and quiet. The stillness of the morning air is fresh with the fragrance of spring. The morning dew lies glistening upon the grass. The sadness of their hearts must have been as dark as the sky as they were trudging along toward the tomb, wondering how they were going to roll the stone away. Yet, when they arrived at the tomb they found that the stone had already been rolled away. But, when they entered the tomb, they did not find Jesus’ body.

Then there appeared two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning. Speaking to the frightened women, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!”
