The 2019 Relay for Life of Uvalde County will be held at the Honey Bowl on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. The theme for the event is “Homecoming.”
“We are bringing back Relay for Life to where it started 20 years ago, here in Uvalde at the Honey Bowl,” said event organizer Jennifer Potter. “…We’ve revamped this year’s relay to still make it a family event with activities, food and fun to raise money for a great cause, but with more accommodating hours for our busy community.”
Relay for Life is a community event that honors cancer survivors, cancer patients and caregivers. It is designed to be a fun-filled evening event that mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and raise money for the fight against cancer.
Checks, money orders or cash is accepted. All checks and money orders should be made out to the American Cancer Society.
