Fry Homes, a local building company founded in 1991 by brothers Greg and Mark Fry, is constructing its 150th home.
The structure, located at 232 Country Club Lane in the Enclave Subdivision, is a custom home being built for former Uvalde High School principal, Robert Baldwin, and his wife, Sue Baldwin.
“After experiencing some challenges over the years, the Fry Homes crew is proud to be building this home,” remarked Greg Fry. “We’re even more pleased to be going strong still, building quality homes in the Uvalde area.”
The company had its beginning 22 years ago with four Fry men, all of whom are still with the company today. Mark, who has a business degree from Texas A&M, is the business manager. In the beginning Mark had other employment so he worked part-time.
Greg was the builder with the vision to make the business work, the people skills to deal with customers and the expertise in construction.
