Delinquent taxpayers put on notice

Uvalde County Appraisal District will mail out approximately 3,800 tax notices on Wednesday in a final attempt to collect delinquent tax revenue. Any accounts not paid by July 1 will be turned over to a collection attorney who will begin foreclosure and seizure procedures by filing lawsuits.

Also on July 1, any unpaid accounts will be subject to an additional 15-percent fee, on top of penalties that began accruing after Jan. 31.
