Cara and Nathan Hiebert of Uvalde have recently joined the San Antonio Brothers Gutters franchise after owning their own gutter business, Hiebert Gutters LLB, for 12 years.

Brothers Gutters is a full-service rain gutter and leaf guard company. The franchise repairs, installs and maintains gutters in states across the U.S. The northwest San Antonio Brothers Gutters, owned by the Hieberts, services the Uvalde and San Antonio areas.

“I like that the whole business doesn’t depend on me,” Nathan said. “When I first found out about Brothers Gutters, I watched videos and I really liked what I heard, so I talked to them and found they were a really good fit.”

Nathan had previously worked on gutters and roofing before realizing he preferred gutters. While Nathan executed the manual labor, Cara was busy working on the bookkeeping.

“I used to work from home a lot, because we have four kids and I home-schooled them up until a couple of years ago,” she explained. “But last year I went out on the job with Nathan.”

Cara is back to doing office work with the Brothers Gutters venture. Nathan is working on growing a client base and adding employees to their team.

“With the franchise, there’s more office work. It’s been good but it’s been a big learning curve for the both of us,” Cara said.

As of right now, the two plan to expand through the Brothers Gutters franchise. “We plan to replace our income and expand to western San Antonio, base more crews there,” Nathan said.

Though they have goals, Nathan believes they have already achieved growth.

“We are creating good jobs for people. We currently employ eight people and everyone loves their jobs,” he said. “This is how we want to go forward.” He said the team’s attitude is best summed up as: “Be blessed or be gone.”

“We are delighted to add Nathan and Cara Hiebert to our franchise family. They exemplify the spirit, hard work and integrity that are hallmarks of our growing company. San Antonio will be well served by the Hieberts,” Ken Parsons, founder of Brothers Gutters, said in a recent press release.

Cara was born in Reagan Wells but moved to Uvalde when she was a teenager. Nathan was born in Canada but moved to Uvalde in 2002 after meeting Cara.

They have four children: Anna, Carson, Aydin and Trevin. Anna recently graduated from Southwest Texas Junior College and Carson is attending Uvalde High School.

The younger children attend school in Knippa.

Parsons founded Brothers Gutters in 1999. Now, there are 11 Brothers Gutters franchise locations and one corporate owned location. These locations include cities in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Washington, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia.
