Uvalde High School’s one-act play for University Scholastic League competition this year will be “Waiting Room” by Christian Kiley. The play will be presented at UIL on March 10.
Theater instructor Christela Mendoza said she read the Kiley script and fell in love with the play.
“In the script, we get to see a glimpse of what it is like for teens battling cancer. The play takes place in an oncology waiting room. The audience gets to see the interaction between the teens, as well as some of the families.”
