Children: Are your teddy bears feeling under the weather? Are they not up for the usual adventures? Uvalde Memorial Hospital has a health plan tailored just for your fuzzy friends today from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the hospital’s social services wing.
Open to the public and free of charge, the UMH teddy bear clinic allows children to accompany their favorite teddy bear for check-in and registration, triage visit, X-ray, consultation with a dentist, vaccination information, and discussion with nursing staff about germs.
The event is part of the hospital’s observance of National Hospital Week, May 6-12. This year, the theme is “caring is our calling.”
