Uvalde resident Dorothy Redland has a busy September ahead of her. The 82-year-old painter has been chosen as the guest artist of the month for Gallery 195 in Boerne, and one piece was selected for the Bosque County Art Classic in Clifton.
Redland is a multi-media artist who paints primarily in oils and pastels. She paints nearly every day, with landscapes as her favorite subject.
Redland grew up in Wyoming and moved to Texas in 1978. Her passion for painting developed later in life, as she raised seven children and was a full-time ranch wife.
