Lost Maples Winery owners Glenda and “Texas” Tom Slaughter will host their 10th-annual harvest celebration at their winery located in Polvadeau Vineyards in Vanderpool on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

More than 100 volunteer pickers from across the state will travel to Vanderpool to help with the harvest.

The day will begin with a catered breakfast and a briefing on grape picking. Afterward, guests will head to the vineyard to cut grape bundles. Lunch will then be served by Chef Chris Chism at 11:30 a.m. while live music by David Wayne and Doc Williams will play in the background.

A new event, grape stomping, will be added in honor of the 10th-anniversary harvest. The first 10 teams of two people each will compete for prizes and stomp some grapes.
