Forms and Submissions


  • Anniversary Submit your anniversary announcement. Announcements are published at no charge. Should you desire a picture there is a $25.00 charge, unless you are celebrating an anniversary of 50 years or more, in which case the picture will be included free of charge.
  • Birth Announcement Birth announcements are published at no charge. However, should you desire a picture there is a $25.00 charge.
  • Engagement Announcement There is a $25 charge to include a photo with the announcement.
  • Obituary Form Please submit form by Tuesday at 5 p.m. for inclusion in the Thursday publication, or by 5 p.m. on Thursday for the Sunday paper. The Uvalde Leader-News publishes obituaries of area citizens at no charge.
  • Quinceañera Form Announcements are published at no charge. However, should you desire a picture there is a $25.00 charge.
  • Wedding Announcement This form offers guidance in organizing your wedding information. Write-ups are limited to 500 words and must be printed (legibly) or typed. Color photos may be submitted, there is a $25.00 charge.


  • Event Notice Submit information about an upcoming event.
  • Letter to the Editor Letters to the editor are welcome and encouraged. Letters must be signed and mailing address and telephone number must be included. Letters should not exceed 500 words and are limited to one per month. Those published will be selected on the basis of accuracy, taste, importance and reader interest. Publication is not assured, and all letters will be verified. None will be returned. The editors reserve the right to edit for length, potentially libelous statements and accuracy of information.
